What to do if a bulge appears in the centre of the mould?
Add warm water in the middle. Wait 1 or 2 minutes. The water will get cold and you have to change it with warm water again. Repeat until the ice ring is lose from the mould.
Why do I have to pour warm water in the centre?
Due to the warm water the ice on the inside will melt. This way the ice will not get vacuumed to the plastic. If the water is cold and the ice is not lose from the ice mould, you will have to replace the cold water with warm water.
Can I use boiling water?
There might be a chance that the ice will crack because to the high force of the temperature differences.
Will the bulge come back next time we use it?
It is very much possible that next time the bulge will not get back. Even if circumstances are the same.
The more I use the ice mould the less bulges appears?
Yes, that is right. The plastic gets better if you use it more often.
Can the ice mould leak due of a bulge?
No, we have used a special kind of plastic which will not crack. Even if the bulges are big.
How does a bulge appears in the middle?
It is difficult to say, as the might be more reasons. The kind of water you use, the place in the freezer, if the mould is standing on a rack or a solid bottom, if the freezer is empty or full. We have not determined the problem so far.
